Literally, ignore them.
Don’t invite any parts of them into your space.
I always heard about people being compared to weather.
1) You were a rain storm
Because everywhere you went water followed; From the tears of the hearts you broke or the drops of drool sliding off the lips of those soon to come. No matter where you went, water was behind you. Kind of like me and the way I would have followed you into a building burning right to the ground.
2) You were a tornado
Tearing through trailer parks and flimsy tee shirts, searching for whatever the hell you lost so long ago. Not caring what was in your way, you ripped apart hearts and gates and belt buckles and six packs of beer and my favorite pair of underwear.
3) You were a sand storm
Blocking out everything inch of sunshine, steering me off my path every fucking time. But if you close your eyes, eventually the sand goes away. I guess thats the difference between you and a sand storm, even though I never shut my eyes, you still went away.
4)You were hail
Hammering down on life it’s self, harder than I ever could’ve imagined. If I were a windshield, you were the cubes of ice breaking me down. The only thing I could do to stop it was to stay in doors, but you and I both know how much I love the weather.
My whole life Ive heard about people being like weather. Some were like rain clouds, and others were rays of sunshine. When it came to you though, no matter how many natural disasters sat inside you, you were a storm I should’ve seen coming
